Introduction:

The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering started in 1985, with an intake is 60 students.
Mr. Phalachandra .Y.V is heading the department with 6 Techning an 5 Non teachning staffs, The department has adequate number of qualified teaching and Non-teaching staff with considerable rich teaching and experienced with wide knowledge on subject.

The Department has well equipped Microcontroller Lab, advanced labouratories of PCB, Analog, Digital and separate Computer Lab. Recently worth Rs. 5Lakh equipments were added to E & C Labouratory.

The Dept is also recognised by Government, the candidtes can also be admitted through government quota, 60% of seats are available through Government quota.

Department activities & Achievements:

1. Conducting regular seminars on behalf of ECSA.
2. Students career guidance programs, talks on soft skills & personality development by resource persons of different cadres..
3. Educational tour for Final year students were held during December, different industries, Software companies have been visited.

Achievements of Staffs:

1. Phalachandra Y.V,subramanya K,Ramadevi,Gopalakrishna Y.R & Basana Gowda Patil attended the workshop on Education, Evaluation and measurement, ISAP Soft skills conducted by NITTTR, Bangalore, conducted at KVGP,Sullia.
2. Phalachandra Y.V ,subramanya K has undergone training program on PE & PLC conducted by NITTTR, Bangalore.
3. Subramanya K has undergone a training program on entrepreneurship & management skills conducted by STEP, Surathkal, conducted at KVGCE sullia.
