Introduction:

The Department of Automobile Engineering started in 1984, with an intake is 60 students.
Mr. N.R. Ganesh is heading the department with 8 Teaching staffs and 5 Non teaching staffs. The Automobile Department has well qualified and dedicated faculty, of industrial experience.

The Department has advanced labouratories, Recently worth 20Lakh project is introduced for Automobile labouratory which includes Service station, Computerised wheel alignment & balancing. Emission Testing center is also recognised by RT, Govt of Karnataka.

KVG Motor Driving School is also started as addition priviledge.

Department activities & Achievements:

1. Once in a every month there will be a regular seminars & career guidance programs on behalf of automobile engineering association.
2. Automobile engineering association publishing the yearly magazine containing students articles.
3. There will be a regular workshop on computer wheel balancing, computerized servicing and emission testing etc.

Achievements of Staffs:

1. Ganesh N R , Sheenappa Gowda & Chandrashekara M N has undergone a training program on entrepreneurship & management skills conducted by STEP Surathkal, conducted at KVGCE sullia.
2. Ganesh N.R, Chandrashekhara M.N ,Nagaraj M.C,Sheenappa gowda & Annayya K attended the workshop on Education, Evaluation and measurement, ISAP Soft skills conducted by NITTTR, Bangalore, conducted at KVGP,Sullia. She also underwent a training on Enterpreneership conducted by KVGCollege of Engg,sponsered program by NITK Surathkal.
